If you own a PDA, Blackberry or other cellphone device that can sync up to your computer then you can read COME TOGETHER on the go, carrying little more than your own phone and reading at your own pace and font size!
Here's what you do:
1) Go to MOBIPOCKET.COM and download their FREE software so that you can read all digital books. You will need to download BOTH the reader software for your PC AND the reader software for your phone or PDA device. Did I mention it's FREE? Select the version of the software that most closely parallels the type of portable device you will be using. If you're unsure of which device corresponds with your own, then click on the device that looks most like your own device to see a new page with a thorough list of comparable devices that work well with the Mobipocket programs. Download the reader software onto your computer and then load the software onto your phone.
2) Next, while still on Mobipocket.com search for COME TOGETHER using either the title or the author's name - Leslie LaMarr. Once you find it, pay the LOW LOW price of $.99 and download it to your computer. You can also purchase this title digitally off of AMAZON.COM.
3) Sync up your device to your computer. You will need to download the book from Mobipocket onto your computer, then activate it on your PC BEFORE loading it onto your phone. This is not difficult, simply open the reader program on your PC, access your new Mobipocket account and then doubleclick on the book in your account and it will ask you to re-enter your username and password before it downloads the book to your computer library.
Another way to do it is to download the book, then sync up your PDA and open your device until you see the file eBooks. Then, drag and drop the eBook you have just purchased into that folder. Close everything and disconnect your device.
4) To doublecheck your download... GO to PROGRAMS on your device and open the Mobipocket program. Access your LIBRARY. If you don't see your recently purchased book listed in your library, go to the MENU and select OPTIONS, then REFRESH LIBRARY. You should then be able to view this title and read it.
TROUBLESHOOTING...
I get the message 'Wrong PID' when I try to open an ebook on my device.
Cause: This means that your ebook has not yet been activated for your reading device.
Resolution/Activate the ebook for your reading device:
- Open Mobipocket Reader Desktop on your PC, connect your device to the PC and check that your device is listed in My Device List.
If not, click on 'Install new device' in the My Device List toolbar.

- Goto My library--eBooks in the Reader Desktop and select the ebook you purchased. If it does not appear in the list, goto Online Account and log on to your account on the site where you purchased the ebook. Select the ebook in your account and click on 'Redownload'.
When the redownload is complete, go back to My library--eBooks in the Reader Desktop, select the ebook you purchased and click 'Send to handheld'
- Enter your username and password if prompted by the Reader. After validation, the Reader copies the ebook to your device.
When the ebook been copied, go to Mobipocket Reader on your device and open the ebook.
* I can't install Mobipocket Reader Desktop, I'm not on a PC or my PC is not supported (Windows 95/98/Me)
